Le Bleuet is a beautifully restored 300-year-old Perigordian cottage full of charm - with original stone floors, exposed beams and characterful details such as wall niches and an old kitchenette: silent witnesses to its farmhouse past.
On the first floor is the living room, with a dining table, a sitting area with TV (FR/EN) and a wood-burning stove for cooler days.
The village is home to the La Merenda restaurant, renowned for its local cuisine and excellent pizzas. The area also offers a wide choice of other restaurants, all very tempting, but a home-cooked meal is also easy to prepare. A gas barbecue is available on the terrace, or you can cook in the fully equipped kitchen, which includes:

- Hotplate
- Microwaves
- Refrigerator with freezer compartment
The spiral staircase leads to two bedrooms: a double room (bed 140×190) and a smaller room with two single beds (90×190), ideal for children. Both bedrooms are air-conditioned. .
The shower and toilet are located in a separate, enclosed area; both bedrooms have a washbasin, as is often the case in this type of old house.
Attic ceilings and skylights create a warm atmosphere and offer views of the surrounding hills.
At the front of the house is a small enclosed garden with a shaded veranda, a haven of peace in which to relax. To the rear, a second terrace gives direct access to the swimming pool (through a secure gate for children). Equipped with a gas barbecue and a pergola, it offers a sheltered and convivial space for outdoor meals.
All gîtes at Domaine Le Jardin Des Amis in Meyrals share access to the heated, fenced swimming pool (in season), the vast park and the surrounding forest. Each property offers a unique atmosphere, charm and comfort: a true haven of peace in the heart of the Périgord Noir where children can play and explore freely, while adults relax.

one month agoWhat a charming place to stay! The peace and quiet, the space around the gîtes and the multitude of activities to do in the surrounding area. An ideal base for exploring the region. Mark and Arwen go out of their way to make you feel at home. Everything you need is available in the gite, even in cool weather. The shower and the bed are excellent, which is of the utmost importance to me. In short, if you're looking for a place to recharge your batteries, this is it.

3 months agoThe week after Christmas, we spent a family holiday at Gîte Le Bluette. It was wonderfully warm, with the stove and the gîte atmosphere. The beds were new and very comfortable. Mark and Arwen are very welcoming, and Arwen has thought of everything! She even had craft materials and games ready!

4 months agoI spent a wonderful week with a very welcoming family. The gîte was very comfortable, cosy and spotlessly clean. You could really feel that everything had been thought through to the last detail. The place is beautiful; there's so much to see that I'd definitely come back. Between forest walks, castle visits and the local Christmas market, there's so much more to discover. In a word: magnificent.
