My gîte is called Le refuge des Vaures, and it's at the end of a cul-de-sac, in the middle of meadows, yet only 10 minutes from Vichy by car.
It's a soothing place, as all my customers emphasize, that comfortably welcomes your family, from grandparents to toddlers.
In the evening, you can watch the deer pass by in the meadow opposite, or even hear them - it's quite an experience!
Two wooden terraces allow you to enjoy breakfast in the sun or an aperitif at the end of the day on the other, while listening to the birds all around.
I have designed the gîte to be flexible and adaptable to your family and pets:
- a small bedroom on the ground floor, accessible without the need for stairs (from the parking lot, thanks to the outside ramp); a small shower room adjoins the bedroom - separate toilet accessible via the bedroom
- upstairs, two bedrooms can accommodate from 2 to 4 beds, depending on your requirements; a 7th bed (folding bed) is available on request.
Bed linen is included in the price and beds are made for your arrival.
Two babies can be accommodated in the gîte (maximum 8 people in total - see administrative and insurance declaration); all baby equipment is available on request and free of charge.
A large shower room and separate toilet complete the first floor.
The gîte offers a wide range of board games for all ages. Games and toys for children (baby toys on request) are available throughout the gîte. A children's area with a small desk is also available on the upstairs landing.
I propose nature and fun activities to be done at the gîte or during your outings, between adults or with your children; just ask me.

less than a week agoVery nice gite, located at the end of a quiet little road. The accommodation is very well furnished and equipped, with everything you could want at home (books for young and old, games, DVDs, CDs, .....). The owner is very kind and welcoming. Very nice experience.

2 months agoA very pleasant family stay at the refuge des Vaures. Everything is organized by Marie Stéphanie to make your stay as easy as possible. A big plus was the possibility of doing your shopping at the Locavor and having it dropped off at the gîte by Marie Stéphanie before our arrival. Lots of games for children. Very clean and tidy.

6 months agoWe had a very pleasant stay, enjoying both the countryside and nearby Vichy. Everything was spotless. The accommodation is cosy, very clean and very well equipped. This former stable has been fitted out with great taste and quality. Marie-Stéphanie's welcome was warm and full of kindness. Everything was perfect. We'll be back with great pleasure.
