Ideally located 15 minutes from the A89 highway and 1 hour from Bordeaux. You can explore: the Périgord Pourpre, the Périgord Noir, the Bastides of the Dordogne (Eymet, Monpazier, Issigeac…), Saint-Émilion, or, further afield, Bordeaux and the Atlantic coast…
Our vacation rental, La Bâtisse, is a comfortable, thoughtfully decorated and furnished home nestled in the heart of 32 hectares of nature. The rental can accommodate one person or a couple using just the ground floor, and up to 8 people when all the bedrooms are occupied. Wi-Fi is available throughout the entire property.
On the ground floor:
– 1 large living area with a fully equipped open kitchen and a large table that seats 8, a wood-burning stove, a sitting area with a large-screen TV (digital terrestrial TV), 2 sofas, storage space, and air conditioning.
– 1 bedroom with a 160-cm double bed and a bathroom (shower and sink)
– Separate toilet
On the first floor:
– 2 versatile bedrooms, each with a single bed and a double bed (which can be separated into two single beds), storage space
– large shared bathroom with a bathtub/shower and toilet
– children's play area on the landing
– For children's safety, the stairs are equipped with gates at the top and bottom, and most electrical outlets are childproofed
Outside:
– patio and pergola, fully enclosed garden
– unobstructed view of the meadows
– Garden furniture is available (umbrellas, barbecue, etc.) and is stored in a storage shed that’s also available for your bikes, fishing gear, and more
– a fenced-in area for recreation with outdoor games
– 2 ponds on the property (including 1 open for catch-and-release fishing—equipment not provided) and accessible hiking trails
Dogs are allowed (up to 2); the beds are made upon your arrival; and towels can be provided for an additional fee. A starter kit is available, including organic shower gel/shampoo, dish soap, dish towels, toilet paper, and more.
Please note that a high-voltage power line runs across the property, far from any homes, and does not cause any nuisance.

one month agoI just spent eight days with my family at this wonderful vacation rental!! It’s beautiful, comfortable, and tastefully decorated, and the owners, Thomas and Caroline, are truly very, very kind and welcoming—they’ve thought of everything to make sure you have a great stay! My grandson even got to go see the horses—it was a real treat for him. We also went on some lovely walks looking for blackberries!! We’ll be back with great pleasure.

3 months agoDuring a trip with friends, we were able to drop off our luggage at the simple and rustic estate. Compared to my other reviews, I’d like to emphasize that the accommodations are very welcoming, with beautiful spaces decorated with charm and authenticity. You feel comfortable and at ease there (game nights, home-cooked meals). The dormitory was perfect for the kids, with plenty of games available for rainy days. The dormitory was their go-to spot! There are also games to play in the outdoor areas. Two beautiful master suites with very nice bathrooms. The place is peaceful and serves as a great starting point for walks, sightseeing, tastings, and exploring the Périgord. We’d love to stay here again—this time with some sunshine so we can enjoy an aperitif on the terrace!

5 months agoWhat a wonderful discovery! A beautiful place to stay in a bucolic setting, surrounded by vast natural beauty. A warm welcome and hosts who were available to help with any concern while remaining discreet throughout our stay. Private parking. Very quiet location +++ A cozy, functional cottage, tastefully decorated with attention to detail, clean, and impeccably maintained. Very well-equipped: living room, kitchen, bathroom, bedroom… nothing is missing, and the bedding is very comfortable. You feel right at home, and the best part is the beautiful terrace overlooking the meadows—it’s the best! All you need to do is pack the bare essentials in your suitcase. Very comfortable and cozy—a true haven of peace to unwind. We highly recommend it. And to top it all off, the value for money is unbeatable—we can’t recommend it enough! Thank you again to Thomas and Caroline for your hospitality, kindness, and professionalism! See you very soon!

Peace and quiet, beautiful scenery, and a soothing atmosphere from the moment you arrive. The hosts are lovely and welcoming—you’ll feel right at home. A big plus for the pets, who make the place even more charming. The cottage is comfortable and clean—I recommend it 100%!

6 months agoThe location and the cottage are simply idyllic: quiet, clean, and extremely relaxing. You immediately feel at home there. The hosts are incredibly kind, charming, welcoming, and very discreet. The surroundings are magnificent and perfect for beautiful walks in the great outdoors, far from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We’ll be back with great pleasure.
