We had a wonderful, relaxing stay at the Cottage. The rural setting was peaceful and beautiful—perfect for recharging our batteries. The owners were very friendly and welcoming, and we especially enjoyed meeting their two adorable donkeys. The cottage was fully equipped and very comfortable. We highly recommend it for a peaceful getaway in the countryside!

My husband, my 18-year-old son, and I just spent eight days at the beautiful Gîtes de Bernet, just outside the charming town of Monein. We stayed in the Gîte Rose, which has two large bedrooms: one with a double bed and the other with two single beds. The bedroom with the double bed offers a breathtaking view of the surrounding countryside. Upstairs, you’ll find a large family bathroom, and there’s an additional restroom on the ground floor. The ground floor is an open-concept space featuring a kitchen/dining area and a cozy living room. This cottage is a true haven of peace, with everything you need for a self-catering vacation. The garden is well-maintained and features a pleasant dining area on the terrace, where we enjoyed delicious breakfasts. An outdoor awning also provides some shade. We loved exploring the Cœur de Béarn region and easily filled our week. It’s an ideal spot for hiking, biking, and swimming in rivers or lakes, less than an hour from the Pyrenees and the coast. Rebecca and Ben were exceptional hosts from the moment we arrived. They sent us tips before our trip, which allowed us to research and plan activities like rafting and book a table at a local French restaurant. The Jurançon region is perfect for wine tastings, many of which can be arranged in advance. There are dozens of small vineyards there, and their wines are delicious. I highly recommend Les Gîtes de Bernet and hope to return. Thank you to Rebecca and Ben for their warm welcome.

A wonderful family vacation, with plenty to keep our three teenagers busy! Becs and Ben, our hosts, were exceptionally kind and helpful. We were lucky enough to attend the Monein Festival and thoroughly enjoyed the festive atmosphere and the fireworks. We’ll definitely be back!

We stayed at Les Roses Apartment. It’s spacious and well-appointed, and located in a very quiet neighborhood. The owners, Ben and Rebecca, are extremely friendly and helpful. Don’t hesitate to book this place.
