Chateau de Panloy stands on the remains of a Renaissance château, of which only two corner pavilions adorned with colonnettes remain. Guillaume de Ransanne, who lived in the 14th century, was the first recognized lord of Panloy.
The property then passed to the Moreau family, then to Marie Sarry. She gave it as a dowry to Jacques Michel, Baron de Saint-Dizant, in 1760, who restored the château in the classical 18th-century style under the reign of Louis XV.
In 1785, Anne-Marie, daughter of the Baron de Saint-Dizant, married the Marquis de Grailly. Their descendants still own the château. To protect the estate during the Revolution, the Marquise de Grailly divorced and remarried her husband in 1806. The château has preserved its Louis XV furniture and many stylish objects, reflecting the life of yesteryear.
In the 19th century, Marquis Gaston de Grailly modified the château, enlarging and embellishing the residence and adding the family coat of arms to the pediment on the north façade.
