Arnèche beach in Meschers

The Arnèche Beach in Meschers is a small, little-known beach on the road to Saint Georges de Didonne. Meschers sur GirondeA small village full of charm, accessible only on foot via a footpath.

It is located between Plage des Vergnes and Plage de Suzac, in the Suzac forest.

The beach is a small, sandy cove surrounded by a forest of limestone cliffs typical of the banks of the Gironde estuary.

Near the beach of Les Vergnes are the beach of Les Vergnes and the long beach of Suzac, and further on the beach of Les Nonnes and the famous conche des Cadetswhere legend has it that Cadet, a pirate, used to lure ships that ran aground on the rocks, in order to plunder them.

Access to the beach is via a sloping path and a staircase.

From Arnèche beach, it's easy to get to the port of Meschersbut also to cliffs of Meschers to discover the famous carrelets.
