Foncillon Beach in Royan is one of the sandy beaches in Royanon the Côte de Beauté in Charente Maritime. Â
It is located between Pointe du Chay and the port of Royan, opposite the Palais des Congrès, and right next to the Royan ferry that crosses over to Pointe de la Grave.
Over 200 m long, it is a popular family beach, known by residents and holidaymakers alike.Â
Swimming is possible on the beach. Please note that bathing is supervised only in season.
You can also enjoy the terrace of a bar-restaurant. Please note that pets are not allowed. It's quick and easy to get to Royan's waterfront from the beach, or Pontaillac.
Close to the beach are the port of Royan and the Palais des Congrès. Further afield, you'll find the church of Notre Dame de Royan, the Grande Conche beachor Royan's central market.
RoyanThe town of St. Tropez, in the south-west of France, is a pretty little town on the Atlantic coast. It lies at the entrance to the Gironde estuary, and is surrounded by seaside resorts.
